Headline: Prof. Rubbia receives honorary degree from the University of Urbino

On March 27^th, 2013, IASS Scientific Director Prof. Carlo Rubbia was awarded an honorary degree in Ecology of climate change by the University of Urbino, Italy, for his work in the field of sustainability. On this occasion, Prof. Rubbia also gave a lecture to students and faculty on the theme “The Anthropocene: a New Era”, during which he highlighted the dire consequences of man-made climate change and called for an enhanced dialogue between scientists and society.
Prof. Rubbia holds more than 30 honorary degrees, awarded by universities and academic institutions all over the world.
