Headline: Society in Climate Change: 4th Annual Conference of the Climate Service Center

Modern society faces huge challenges associated with climate change that require a fundamental re-thinking in economy, policy and science. Especially adaptation to these consequences becomes more and more important in addition to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The annual conference of the Climate Service Center “Society in Climate Change: What adaption is necessary, possible and future-proof?” takes place from 12 to 13 February in Potsdam. With the collaboration of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and the IASS Potsdam, participants from science, politics and business discuss possibilities and limits of adaptation to climate change.
