Boris Gotchev

Boris Gotchev is a research fellow at the IASS project "Governance and Participation". His research focuses mainly on the economic participation of citizens and cooperative organizations in the energy transition.
Boris previously worked as a freelance consultant for the World Bank, where he coordinated the collection of data on the Danish energy sector for the report "Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy".
Boris studied political science at Freie Universität Berlin and Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, with a particular focus on energy and environmental policy. He came to the IASS in 2014 to complete his thesis on Danish wind power cooperatives and the lessons learned for Germany.
