Prof. Heike Schroeder
Senior Fellow
Heike Schroeder is Professor of Environmental Governance at the School of International Development, University of East Anglia and a senior fellow at the IASS. Her work focuses on indigenous peoples and sustainable development, the UNFCCC process, forest governance and REDD+ and urban climate governance. She is also a member of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the Earth System Governance Project. Previously, Heike worked at the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford and the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, University of California, Santa Barbara. Heike holds a PhD from the Free University of Berlin in political science (with doctoral research conducted at the University of Tokyo), an MA from Bonn University in political science, economics and Japanese studies, and a BA from the University of East Anglia in Contemporary European Studies.
