Peer Learning and Capacity-Building for integrated NSDS implementation and reporting
In line with SDG 17 and building on the first Global Sustainable Development Report’s (GSDR) (2019) four “levers” for transformation: governance, economy and finance, science and technology, and individual and collective action; the GSDR 2023 added a fifth lever, “capacity-building” (GSDR 2023, p. 4). At the same time, political instability, short-term urgencies, and a limited pool of fiscal options curb member states´ investment in integrated NSDS governance and such capacity-building.
The purpose of this side event to the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is to facilitate peer learning and inform and further stimulate the debate on capacity building for integrated NSDS governance by drawing upon the results from accompanying research and participants’ insights from different countries: Latin American and Caribbean countries, Germany, and Morocco.
By invitation only.
