The 18th expeditions in aesthetics and sustainability will open on Saturday, 27 July 2019 at 17:00 in Erfurt. The duration oft the whole exhibtion will be from 28 July - 22 September 2019. This unusual station was initiated by the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development in Thuringia, supported by Thuringia's Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation and the State Capital Erfurt.
This year's annual meeting theme, “Systemic Risks: From Natural Hazards to Cyber Risks” is intended to showcase the wide variety of risk issues that threaten society today. These risk issues can only be addressed by the diversity of experience SRA-E members represent in terms of their professions, disciplines, methodologies, and nationalities.

Dieser Frage widmet sich ein Workshop der Wissenschaftsplattform Nachhaltigkeit 2030 am 13. und 14. Juni in Berlin.
The Abidjan Convention Secretariat, the Nairobi Convention Secretariat, the ABNJ Deep Seas project and the STRONG High Seas (‘Strengthening Regional Ocean Governance for the High Seas’) project are pleased to invite to a Joint Workshop, which will take place in Cape Town, South Africa.
This workshop will provide a co-creative reflexive space for participants of the Spirit of Humanity Forum to engage in the question „What enables us to transform separation and fear into connection and compassion?” There will be space for the participants to exchange and explore their experiences where inner transformation guided successful leadership towards sustainability. Also we will engage in silent reflection and contemplative dialogue to deepen our connection with our inner sources for transformative leadership. Lastly, we will offer a brief format of mutually supporting each other in identifying concrete implications for our different work contexts.
Nach der zweiten Verhandlungsrunde im März/April 2019 und vor der dritten Sitzung der Regierungskonferenz (Intergovernmental Conference – IGC) im August 2019 in New York bietet sich eine gute Gelegenheit, eine erste Zwischenbilanz zu ziehen und Fragestellungen zum laufenden „BBNJ-Prozess“ im Austausch mit etwa 40 Vertretern aus Wissenschaft und Forschung, Wirtschaft, Zivilgesellschaft und Politik gemeinsam zu diskutieren.
Wie unterscheiden sich Luftschadstoffe innerhalb einer Stadt und was bedeuten diese Unterschiede für unsere Gesundheit und für die Stadtplanung? Mit neuen Messtechniken untersucht das Institut für transformative Nachhaltigkeitsforschung (IASS) kleine Schwankungen in der Luftqualität unterwegs auf dem Fahrrad.
Silvio Funtowicz (Center for the Study of the Humanities, University of Bergen) and Bruna de Marchi (Center for the Study of the Humanities, University of Bergen) will give an input at this workshop. Mr Funtowicz will speak on "The emergence and current relevance of Post Normal Science" and the input of Mrs De Marchi has the title "Public participation in risk governance is fair.
