Dr. Ingeborg Reichle

Ingeborg Reichle ist eine zeitgenössische Kunsthistorikerin und -theoretikerin, die an der Schnittstelle von Kunst, Wissenschaft und Nachhaltigkeit arbeitet. In den vergangenen Jahren war sie Professorin am Institut für Medientheorie an der Universität für angewandte Kunst in Wien, Österreich, wo sie auch den Lehrstuhl für Interdisziplinäre Strategien (CDS) gegründet hat. Ihr Forschungs- und Lehrgebiet ist die Begegnung der Künste mit Spitzentechnologien wie der Biotechnologie und der synthetischen Biologie, wobei sie auch künstlerische Antworten auf systemische Risiken und globale Herausforderungen wie den Klimawandel berücksichtigt.

Bevor sie 2016 als ordentliche Professorin an den Lehrstuhl für Medientheorie kam, war sie FONTE-Professorin an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Im Jahr 2004 promovierte sie an der Humboldt-Universität mit einer Arbeit über Kunst im Zeitalter der Technowissenschaften (Wien, 2005). Sie berät eine Reihe von Kunstinstitutionen wie die Schweizer Kulturstiftung Pro Helvetia und ist Mitglied des Kuratoriums des ZKM | Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie in Karlsruhe.
