Der „Kiezblock Ostkreuz“ hat einen Kiezblock Antrag erarbeitet. Um die Umsetzung greifbarer zu machen und weiter zu denken, möchten wir gemeinsam mit Anwohner:innen und Gewerbetreibenden des Kiezes, sowie mit einigen Vertreter:innen aus Politik und Verwaltung in einem argumentativen Rollenspiel mit anschließendem Erfahrungs-Austausch möglichst verschiedenen Meinungen zu dem Thema Kiezblock eine Stimme geben.

Brandenburg gilt wegen der Vielfalt seiner Oberflächengewässer als wasserreiches Bundesland. Dennoch hat das Land ein Wasserdefizit und die Grundwasserneubildung nimmt seit mehreren Jahrzehnten ab. Die letzten Dürrejahre haben diesen Trend verstärkt und der Klimawandel wird - ohne geeignete Gegenmaßnahmen - die Wassersituation in Brandenburg voraussichtlich weiter verschärfen.

The aim of the workshop is to provide the 30 Master students with an overview of three levels of sustainable development governance and transformations towards sustainability: the European level, the national (federal) level and the regional (Brandenburg) level. Different research projects from both the IASS and the University of Cottbus will be presented.

The existing environmental law principles such as sustainable development and “polluter pays” have been created within the context of a Holocene mindset. These principles have become unfit for purpose in the Anthropocene. Developed since the 1970s to “manage” the environment for human benefits, they are out of touch with novel planetary governance challenges emanating from within complex interconnected Earth system transformations. The Anthropocene instead demands a new governance mindset that is undergirded by Earth-centred legal principles to guide law and policymakers to develop law for the Anthropocene.

This workshop is part of a series of workshops organised under the STRONG High Seas project in the Southeast Atlantic and Southeast Pacific regions with the aim to bring together stakeholders to discuss current challenges as well as opportunities for global and regional ocean governance, foster exchange of knowledge and information, and build new networks. It will apply an interactive approach to enable information exchange between participants and feature action-oriented discussions with high-level actors and experts. This workshop aims to discuss lessons learnt and critical steps for regional and global action necessary to make progress towards integrated ocean management of the high seas.

Gemeinsam mit Künstler*innen und Wissenschaftler*innen, die bereits Erfahrungen mit Kunst-Wissenschafts-Kooperationen gesammelt haben, werden wir in einen Erfahrungsaustausch zu solchen Kooperationsprojekten gehen. Aufbauend darauf werden wir mit ko-kreativen Methoden Ideen für eine strukturelle Förderung von Kunst-Wissenschafts-Kooperationen entwickeln, die über rein finanzielle Förderung hinausgeht.
